If you want to submit a film to the
European Film Market, please use the
Market Film Entry at www.efm-berlinale.de.
Every year, for two weeks in February, the International Film Festival turns Berlin into a hotspot for cineastes and cinéphiles from around the world. The festival programme consists of the Competition (in which some films are also presented out of competition), the Berlinale Special, the Panorama, the Generation section (formerly Kinderfilmfest/14plus), Perspektive Deutsches Kino, the Berlinale Shorts as well as the International Forum of New Cinema. These sections are complemented by the European Film Market and the Retrospective, which is curated by the Filmmuseum Berlin – Deutsche Kinemathek.
In order to submit a film to the Berlinale you have to send the film and the completed entry form to the Festival before the given deadline (Feature lenth films: Oct 31, 2008; Shorts Films: Nov 15, 2008). Entry forms can be sent by fax or by regular mail - or simply by using our
online film entry (Festival)
.
In any case, we ask you to carefully read the Festival's General Regulations for film entries as well as the specific regulations of the section(s) for which you wish to submit a film. You will find these regulations by using the menu on the left.
