Publications

Several publications are published for the Berlinale, providing information about the complete festival programme. They are complimented by a variety of booklets and flyers on the the festival sections and the special presentations as well as by the Berlinale Journal – a free festival magazine which appears at the beginning of the Berlinale and contains a comprehensive overview of the programme, interviews and articles on the festival’s main topics. Publications, which are not free of charge, can be purchased in the 'Berlinale Shop'.
 
The following publications appear regularly for each festival:
  • Berlinale Programme Booklet – This booklet is first presented at the programme press conference. It provides an overview of all the festival’s events and is distributed for free throughout Berlin.
  • Festival Catalogue – Programme and background information about all films in the Competition, Panorama, Perspektive Deutsches Kino and Generation
  • "Deutsche Filme" Catalogue – Catalogue containing the Berlinale’s complete German film programme
  • Forum Catalogue – Catalogue with information on all the films in the International Forum of New Cinema
  • Forum Programme Booklet – Booklet with information on all the films in the International Forum of New Cinema
  • Generation brochures– catalogues with information on all Generation Kplus and 14plus films
  • Retrospective Catalogue – Publication with articles and artist portraits related to the focus of the Retrospective
  • Talent Campus Magazine – The programme booklet of the Talent Campus with detailed information about all events
  • Co-Production Market Catalogue – Catalogue describing all film projects selected for the Co-Production Market
  • European Film Market Catalogue – Information on the films and programme of the European Film Market with contact details of film trade participants
