The poster for the Berlinale 2009 was created by designer Paul Snowden. As opposed to previous years, a single motif represents the entire Berlinale. For the sake of unified communication there will be no separate section posters.

 

The posters will be visible across Berlin from January 23, 2009.

Paul Snowden about his artwork for the Berlinale 2009: "In order to counterbalance but at the same time pay tribute to the wonderful flood of images of this film festival, a Paul Snowden typographical solution was definitely called for - something bold that at the same time celebrates the true stars of the Berlinale: the audience and this great city."
