For visitors of the festival the Berlinale offers child care services at the premises of the Gemäldegalerie (Old Master Paintings). Parents can leave their children for up to four hours at a time (the length of two films) in the care of committed child minders who are professionally trained in social and art education. The little ones can play and let their creativity loose with crafts and arts. Besides children’s tours of the Gemäldegalerie as well as colour and drawing experiments in the Studio Museumspädagogik (Museum Educational Studio) will be part of the daily programme.

The Berlinale Kindergarten is located between the Philharmonie Concert Hall and the National Gallery – just five minutes walk from the festival centre.
