Film and Web 2.0

“Film and Web 2.0” will focus on the interplay between the film industry and the Internet with its interactive and collaborative structures. To what extent can the so-called “Wiki-Principle” transform an economy? Although the film industry is now only at the very beginning of what will inevitably be a fundamental transformation process, real-life success stories already exist and demonstrate how films can be made even without traditional studio and marketing strategies.

Film and Games

The digital revolution has not only changed the film industry, it has also brought with it an entire new culture revolving around the “video game” medium. This development continues to have consequences for the film industry – these new narratives and aesthetics have an effect on “screen productions” as well. But is there a clear difference between the creative work of screenwriters as opposed to games authors? Not everything written for games is ideal for movies – and the other way around.
